About the Game

Build up your bots, gear up with gadgets, and wreck your rival!

In Scrapbots, you command a fleet of ramshackle robots in a head-to-head battle for scrappy supremacy. Deploy bots to your lanes, attach powerful gadgets, and convert cards to energy for devastating attacks. Your goal: deal malfunctions to your opponent while keeping your own machinery running smooth. When the malfunction deck runs dry, the player with fewer malfunctions wins!

Game Mechanics

Build
Deploy new scrapbots to empty lanes or upgrade existing bots. Attach gadgets to ready bots for powerful abilities.
Attack
Convert cards from your hand to energy, then spend that energy to declare attacks against enemy bots.
Scrap
Sweep broken bots and gadgets to your discard pile. Optionally scrap cards from your hand.
Market
Purchase new bots and gadgets from the market using scrap. Churn the market once to refresh options.
Draw
Draw cards back up to 4. Purge malfunctions from your hand if possible.

Quick Start

  1. Each player starts with a deck of basic bots and gadgets, plus 4 cards in hand.
  2. On your turn, progress through Build → Attack → Scrap → Market → Draw phases.
  3. Deploy bots to lanes, attach gadgets, convert cards to energy, and attack enemy bots.
  4. Deal malfunctions to your opponent when their bots take lethal damage.
  5. Game ends when the malfunction deck empties. Fewer malfunctions wins!

How to Play

Win Condition

The game ends when the malfunction deck is empty. The player with fewer malfunctions (across hand, deck, discard, and overkill) wins.

Turn Phases

  1. Build: Deploy bots to empty lanes, upgrade bots, attach/upgrade gadgets
  2. Attack: Convert cards to energy, declare attacks with your bots
  3. Scrap: Remove broken bots/gadgets, optionally scrap hand cards
  4. Market: Buy from market (cost = rank × 2), churn once per turn
  5. Draw: Draw to 4 cards, purge malfunctions if possible

Combat

  • Bots have Attack, Health, and Attack Cost
  • Spend energy equal to attack cost to declare an attack
  • Damage reduces health; at 0 health, bot becomes broken
  • Broken bots deal malfunctions to their owner
